2K Games just (September 21) released an official announcement on Twitter confirming that one of its vendors’ server was breached by an unauthorized third party:

2K Games confirmed that the third party has sent a communication to certain players containing a malicious link, and warned customers not to open any emails or links that have been provided.
With 2K’s announcement, the victim list has lengthened yet again (Nvidia, Sony Pictures, Uber, Rockstar, etc.). Hopefully, this incident will not cause any further problems.
